We Didn’t Set Out to Build a Pest Product. We Set Out to Close a Gap Nobody Was Watching.

Every pest-proofing method on the market focuses on what you can see, such as walls, windows and doors. PestFlap exists because the biggest gap in most buildings is one nobody thinks to check: the drain.

Origin

Built on Drainage Knowledge,
Not Guesswork

PestFlap wasn’t designed from a lab brief. It came from direct, practical experience with drainage systems, understanding where pests actually get in, why sealing visible entry points often fails, and what a solution needs to withstand daily use. That experience shaped one simple rule: if it isn’t mechanically reliable, easy enough for a competent tradesperson to install, and durable enough to sit in a drain for years with minimal attention, it doesn’t leave the workshop.

Manufacturing

Made in Birmingham, UK

PestFlap's manufacturing strategy is centred on UK production and controlled quality. Publish photographs of tooling, moulding, assembly and quality checks when approved. Any 'Made in UK' statement must reflect the final manufacturing and origin position for the relevant product.

Retrofit Approach

PestFlap installs directly into existing drainage without requiring any rebuilding of the system.

Mechanical Operation

PestFlap stays closed when the drain is idle and opens automatically under normal discharge flow.

Low-Maintenance

PestFlap operates without electrical supply, sensors, or powered controls.

Trade Support

PestFlap is backed by technical information and commercial support for merchants, contractors, and distributors.

Design Principles

How We Decide What PestFlap Becomes

Solve one real problem well: a defined drainage entry route, not a vague promise.

Keep it mechanical: if it needs a battery or a sensor to work, it’s one more thing that can fail at 2am.

Make it fittable: a competent tradesperson should be able to install it without special tools or a callback.

Match the material to the environment: a unit in a hospital kitchen faces different demands than one in a residential drain.

Never block maintenance: the drain still needs to be cleanable and serviceable, full stop.

Test, document, improve: nothing ships on a hunch.
